"My Wish"

Rascal Flatts

I hope that the days come easy and the moments pass slow,
And each road leads you where you want to go,
And if you're faced with a choice, and you have to choose,
I hope you choose the one that means the most to you.
And if one door opens to another door closed,
I hope you keep on walkin' till you find the window,
If it's cold outside, show the world the warmth of your smile,

But more than anything, more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

I hope you never look back, but ya never forget,
All the ones who love you, in the place you left,
I hope you always forgive, and you never regret,
And you help somebody every chance you get,
Oh, you find God's grace, in every mistake,
And you always give more than you take.

But more than anything, yeah, and more than anything,
My wish, for you, is that this life becomes all that you want it to,
Your dreams stay big, and your worries stay small,
You never need to carry more than you can hold,
And while you're out there getting where you're getting to,
I hope you know somebody loves you, and wants the same things too,
Yeah, this, is my wish.

This is my wish
I hope you know somebody loves you
May all your dreams stay big

TODAY'S PICKS

DAILY TRACK: Lil Wayne — "Dough Is What I Got"
Insanely prolific (or maybe just insane), the self-proclaimed Best Rapper Alive works his down-South magic over a jazzy sax sample and proves his sub-zero flow can make the shy girls horny and the fly girls corny. Click HERE for more on this and the other tracks that made Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.

DAILY REVIEW: Jay-Z — American Gangster
Jay-Z hasn't sounded so fired up since The Blueprint, and like that classic, American Gangster is tripped out on a Seventies-funk fantasia. Click HERE for more on this and the other albums that made Rolling Stone's list of the Top 50 Albums of 2007.

TODAY'S PICKS

DAILY TRACK: Bright Eyes — "Four Winds"
The lyrics evoke W.B. Yeats; the music, J.C. Mellencamp. No song better captured our current sense of looming apocalypse than this one, which also makes a case for Conor Oberst as one of the best — and bravest — lyricists out there. Click HERE for more on this and the other tracks that made Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.

DAILY VIDEO: New Music Tuesdays — The Top Ten Albums of 2007

DAILY REVIEW: M.I.A. — Kala
M.I.A.'s second album was an international block party with a sonic imagination nobody else could match all year. The Sri Lankan-born U.K. rapper's inspirations run all over the globe, with a Day-Glo sensibility rooted in the Native Tongues hip-hop of the Jungle Brothers and De La Soul, but with the political rage of Public Enemy. Click HERE for more on this and the other albums that made Rolling Stone's list of the Top 50 Albums of 2007.

Click HERE to purchase Rolling Stone: The First 40 Years, a complete digital archive of RS since its first issue in 1967.

TODAY'S PICKS

DAILY TRACK: Justice — "D.A.N.C.E."
The breakout tune from the hypercool Paris dance label Ed Banger (run by Daft Punk's manager) is a blast of glitter-disco joy, with a rubbery bass line and an insistent children's chorus demanding that you "do the dance!" Just try to say no!. Click HERE for more on this and the other tracks that made Rolling Stone's list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007.

DAILY VIDEO: M.I.A. — "Paper Planes"

DAILY REVIEW: Bruce Springsteen — Magic
Magic comes on like the album Springsteen's been building up to for the past five years, since he revitalized his sound on 2002's The Rising. These songs are Springsteen at his toughest and most focused, going for the grimly detailed style of Darkness on the Edge of Town and Nebraska. Click HERE for more on this and the other albums that made Rolling Stone's list of the Top 50 Albums of 2007.
