PRESS

""Kevin Pickett & Southern Rain made a very nice impression. Hard drivin', whiskey drinkin' southern rock is the best way Vinny can describe their sound. Kinda reminds Vinny of a harder version of Whiskey Myers with a mean harmonica player thrown in to the mix. "  Vinny The Shark, Wormy Dog SHow Review
"I've had the chance to watch these guys grow over the past year. KP's 1st CD is full of modern day folk tales set to dirty blues that you can't help but love. Garvin County Blues is my personal favorite. And if you haven't seen them live...you're missing out. Can't wait for the new material. "  Craig Stone -Radio Personality-, Online

Presenting...Texas Blues/ Classic Pop Icon "Bugs Henderson "  is available for bookings.
Bugs Henderson

Bugs Henderson

Master guitarist Bugs Henderson's signature sound began to define itself in Tyler and Dallas during the 1970s with the blues. Henderson went from small clubs to playing on stage opening for artists such as the Allman Brothers, B.B. King, and Leon Russell. With his love for the blues, Bugs got tired of the wide-open riff-oriented rock, and friend Freddie King began pushing for Henderson to start his own band. Bugs the assembled his first record, "At Last," which was followed by 14 albums spanning over four decades. Bugs offers hundreds of original songs and his own interpretations of covers during a performance.

Flaming Lips to Release New Songs Every Month

Frontman Wayne Coyne says: "The dilemma is whether we're going to release it on vinyl, cereal boxes, or some of it on toys that we make."

Flaming Lips to Release New Songs Every Month

Last year, Kanye West spent a few months giving away a free song every Friday night, making every Saturday morning feel like Christmas. And this year, the Flaming Lips may do something similar. Wayne Coyne tells Rolling Stone that the band hopes to release a new song every month in 2011. According to Coyne, the process of creating a whole new album the traditional way seemed daunting, and the song-a-month system represents a more exciting way of getting their music out into the world. They also plan to film the recording.

Coyne tells Rolling Stone, "Not that I think the old way was boring, but to spend another two years with the same 13 songs, it's just like fuck. I think we're going to just start to do things and put it out. Once we get 11 or 12 songs together, maybe we'll do something else with it. We want to try to live through our music as we create it instead of it being a collection of the last couple years of our lives."

According to Coyne, the new songs could take a number of different physical forms: "The dilemma is whether we're going to release it on vinyl, cereal boxes, or some of it on toys that we make. Sometimes, the music is the simplest part of any of these things. We'll be making these little videos that connect in the end to a bigger movie we'll be making next year as well."
