There is nothing like a good mystery to solve, and This Week in Film & Music is playing detective while unraveling the events for the next two weeks.  Search for clues and gather evidence with Exit Through the Gift Shop, a documentary about the anonymous graffiti artist "Banksy" and the pursuit to unveil the person behind the art.  A break in the investigation allows you to crack the case with The Secret in Their Eyes, the story of a novelist looking for more information on a cold case murder that continues to haunt him.  Celebrate the mystery intrinsic to great music with An Evening of Gershwin, the concluding event of the OK Mozart Festival.  With a double dose of This Week in Film & Music, there's always a surprising twist of film and music events for curious minds to uncover.

America featuring Leon Russell
The English-American folk rock musical band America is composed of members Gerry Beckley, Dewey Bunnell, and Dan Peek. The band became a musical sensation during 1972, scoring #1 hits and winning a Grammy. Some of the band's best known songs are "A Horse with No Name," "Sister Golden Hair," "Ventura Highway," "Daisy Jane," and "Lonely People." In January 2007, America released Here & Now, the band's first major label studio album in over twenty years. This performance will feature Oklahoma music icon Leon Russell.

O'fidelis
With shades of early Bob Dylan, Oklahoma City folksters O'fidelis look to spread their indie and bluegrass sound.  Utilizing a variety of instruments, the band crafts memorable sounds backed with strong lyrics.  Featuring the acoustic guitar and vocal talents of both Brian Gililland and Laney Croker alongside band mates and instrumentalists Leky, Saihai, and Mas, they are quickly climbing the ranks of the Oklahoma folk-rock scene.

Exit Through the Gift Shop
Banksy, an anonymous graffiti artist, has garnered a global reputation through works on walls from post-hurricane New Orleans to the separation barrier on the Palestinian West Bank. Exit Through the Gift Shop tells the incredible, true story of how an eccentric French shop keeper turned documentary filmmaker attempted to locate and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner.

Brandon Jenkins and the Bobby Dale Band
With a voice as big as Texas and guitar chops that would make Billy Gibbons proud, Brandon Jenkins takes his rightful place as one of the shining stars of Red Dirt music. Jenkins' new album, Brothers Of The Dirt, carries on his established tradition with a wide variety of style and influence.  Jenkins is artistically collaborative, bringing in artists at the forefront of the new charge and mixing them in with others that helped to influence the genre. The Bobby Dale Band will open for Brandon Jenkins with their southern rockabilly sound.

Drive-By Truckers
An alternative-rock band from Georgia, Drive-By Truckers are known for their "three axe attack" in which they utilize three guitars alongside bass and drums. Patterson Hood, Mike Cooley, John Neff and Shonna Tucker each master their guitar of choice while Brad Morgan and Jay Gonzalez play the drums and keys, respectively. The group recently released their hit album, The Big To Do, performed impressively on the charts.

Summer Breeze Series: Danny O'Keefe
In the 1970's, Danny O'Keefe put out a string of albums that cemented his reputation as being among the best songwriters of his generation. He further garnered recognition with such hits as "Good Time Charlie's Got The Blues" and Jackson Browne's version of "The Road" from the classic album Running On Empty. O'Keefe also co-wrote the environmental movement anthem, "Well Well Well," with Bob Dylan. In 2008, he released his first solo album in nine years, In Time.

Warbringer
With the release of 2008's War Without End, Warbringer established themselves as one the most ferocious young bands on the heavy metal music scene. With the guitar riffs of John Laux and Adam Carroll accompanied by the vocals of John Kevill, the band established a rabid, hardcore fan base. The band is touring in support of their latest album Waking into Nightmares and will be preceded by local opening acts.

Death on the Nile
The weekly Sketch to Screen Film Festival, which focuses on iconic films that exemplify the art of Hollywood costume design, continues with the 1978 film Death on the Nile. This murder mystery takes place on a Nile cruise liner, where everyone has a reason to want famous heiress Linnet Ridgeway dead. Can sleuth Hercule Poirot sift through the evidence to find a culprit? A pink beaded gown and accessories worn by Bette Davis will be on display as part of the Sketch to Screen Exhibit.

The Secret in Their Eyes
The Secret in Their Eyes (El secreto de sus ojos) has been hailed as a critical and commercial success. Recently retired criminal court investigator Benjamin decides to write a novel based on a twenty-five year old unresolved murder case that still haunts him. Sharing his plans with Irene, a beautiful judge, Benjamin's initial involvement with the case is shown through flashbacks. Benjamin's search for the truth will put him at the center of a judicial nightmare as the mystery of the crime continues to unfold.  This film will be presented in Spanish with English subtitles.

Red Dirt Rangers
Since the late 1980s, The Red Dirt Rangers have become an integral part of the genre's musical brotherhood. Consisting of Ben Han, John Cooper, and Brad Piccolo, the band has traded songs and licks with the likes of Jimmy LaFave, Tom Skinner, and Bob Childers. More recently, they have worked with Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, and Stoney LaRue. Their new album, Ranger Motel, channels their roots, while adding a new twist to the red dirt music they helped establish.

Camille Harp
Priding herself on her musical talents and love for songwriting, Camille Harp has a voice in her soul that sings the words of her heart. Harp's style crosses musical borders from folk to rock to country-based pop. Though her genre is hard to define, it's easy to get enveloped in her sincere lyrics and graceful melodies.

Slowly carving a name for himself in the country music world, Luke Robinson's strong work ethic and country music voice make his newest album, Bad Luck, a country music success. Robinson is backed by The Bad Luck Band which is composed of Brady Owen on lead and rhythm guitar, Andrew McCoy on drums, and Adam Smithwick on bass.

Steelwind

Bluegrass will be resonating in the Joe Dome with the Stillwater duo Steelwind. Members Blake Parks and Michael Henneberry come equipped with a fiddle, guitar, upright bass, banjo and mandolin for a full traditional bluegrass experience.  The duo will spend the evening playing their original bluegrass tunes.

The Fray
An American four-piece piano-rock band, The Fray achieved mainstream success with the release of their debut album, How to Save a Life in 2005, which was certified double-platinum by the RIAA, and platinum by Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the UK. The Fray achieved national success with their first single, "Over My Head (Cable Car)." The release of their second single, "How to Save a Life," brought the band worldwide fame.

Luke Bulla
Having been singing and playing music most of his life, Luke Bulla started touring and singing with his family band at the age of four and took up the fiddle at seven. Bulla also now plays guitar, sings and writes songs, and is currently working on material for a solo project. Bulla's folk sound mixes his early raising with his current interests, creating a blend that mixes his bluegrass and folk roots.
