Monty Harper

Songs From the Science Frontier is Here! My new CD about science for learners age eight and up is now available to order, and for download

The SFSF CD is like a sequel to They Might Be Giants' Here Comes Science, with more sciencey details for a slightly older audience. It'll make a great stocking stuffer for any kid (or kid at heart) who likes dinosaurs, nature, biology, science in general, Monty Harper songs, The Sugar Free Allstars, or just plain fun music!

This week only, purchase the new CD and select another of my titles for free! This offer is available at MontyHarper.com, and is good until November 29.

You can also preview and/or purchase the songs as digital downloads right now on CDBaby.com.

Most of the songs on this CD were written over the past two years for my "Born to Do Science" program, which involves scientists talking with kids about their research. The songs celebrate those scientists and their fascinating, important work. Topics include bacterial biofilms, wheat genomics, bat evolution, luminescence dating, x-ray crystallography, wind energy and much much more!

Back in August, you may recall, I ran a Kickstarter.com campaign to raise the money to record this CD. The online science education community got behind the idea and I reached my funding goal early thanks to many generous backers!

(Are you a backer? Your CD(s) will be on the way to you very soon!)

Since then I've been working hard on this CD (and practically nothing else). Producer Chris Wiser of the Sugar Free Allstars did a fantastic job helping me capture the best recording of my career. With Chris on keyboards, Dr. Rock on drums, and Dave Spindle on bass, the songs are a great mix of Sugar Free musical functitude and scientastic Monty Harper lyrics.

I'm proud of our accomplishment and anxious for you to hear it! May it inspire many young listeners to become followers of, cheerleaders for, and practitioners of science!

P.S. - Don't forget, order by next Monday to take advantage of the free CD offer!
