Tuff Profit

NAMAN LEE

A NEW CHAPTER IN THE TUFF PROFIT BAND

As spring comes knocking on our doors and with the changing of the seasons, also come changes in the Tuff Profit Camp.

Naman Lee, the man with the tone like no other, has stepped down from his position as lead guitar of Tuff Profit. A wonderful job was offered to Naman in Texas that he could not pass up. We are huge believers in family first in this band, and we are very proud that Naman has accepted this job to give his wonderful family everything they could wish for. As much as we hate to see Naman and his family move down to Texas, we are very proud his skills in home building were discovered by a well-known company and lead to his meeting his dreams in a wonderful career.

Naman Lee joined our family in October 2005 and for the next 17 months performed over 80 shows with Tuff Profit. He brought to the table a whole new sound and taught us many new ways to explore songs. In return, we took him to the Cain’s Ballroom stage twice in 6 months, plus many other great venues. We had the honor in that time to open for many great acts such as Billy Currington, The Red Dirt Rangers, The Great Divide, Johnny Cooper, He Wears Black and many other great acts! Naman’s lead work helped us earn the Payne County Line 2007 Red Dirt Band of the Year award.

Naman will be missed! As with any previous members of Tuff Profit, he will always be a member and a brother.

STEVE SUTHERLAND

We are very proud to announce the return of Steve Sutherland back to Tuff Profit to carry out the duties of lead guitar and vocals.

Steve is the front man to one of the best bands Bartlesville has to offer, Hell or High Water (HHW). For over three years HHW has played The Solo Club on Wednesday nights to a packed house. I can give you three reasons why they have a great following - Carl Lowe on drums, Doyle Speer on vocals and guitar and Steve Sutherland on vocals and guitar. I have dropped in on Wednesdays many times over the last three years to watch their show and was blown clean away every time. They are the Master Musicians of our great town.

Steve first joined Tuff Profit in March 2005 and played with us until October 2005. In that span of time, Steve took us to a whole new level of performing live. We played damn near every bar or club around Grand Lake that summer plus so many other venues I can no longer remember. One of the big shows that year with Steve was the Merl Haggard Show we played in OKC on Sept 11th. It was the first of many openings we did for national artists-a show we will never forget. We feel that Steve’s work on lead guitar, and his original music, helped us earn the first award as Payne County Line’s 2006 Best Red Dirt Band of the Year.

We are heart-broken to see Naman move on, but we are very happy to have Steve share the stage with us once again. We are very fortunate in this band to have such wonderful people come thru the Tuff Profit door. Once they do, they are forever members of our brotherhood. This is why a Tuff Profit Show is fun to attend. You’re watching five guys having the most fun they can possibly have together.

See ya at the Show!

Peace

Danny Joe Walsh

Proud member of Tuff Profit
