TODAY'S TOP ROCK HEADLINES

THE NEXT COVER OF ROLLING STONE: KANYE WEST AND 50 CENT
The next issue of Rolling Stone takes you inside the hip-hop story of the year: the war of words between Kanye West and 50 Cent, both of whom are set to release their new albums next Tuesday. Click HERE to read an excerpt of the Kanye West story, click HERE to read an excerpt of the 50 Cent cover story, and check RollingStone.com later today for the first of three videos that feature Kanye and 50 talking candidly at the cover shoot.

FIRED VAN HALEN BASSIST: "I FOUND OUT ON THE INTERNET"
Last week, original Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony spoke to Rolling Stone about not being invited back for Van Halen's upcoming reunion tour. Anthony, whose backing vocals are crucial to classics like "Running With the Devil" and "Panama," won't be on the road with Eddie Van Halen and David Lee Roth, who have hired Eddie Van Halen's sixteen-year-old son Wolfgang as a replacement bassist. REUNION RUMORS: LED ZEPPELIN COMEBACK CONCERT
Previously squashed rumors of a Led Zeppelin reunion have returned following the appearance of English ads announcing tickets for a Zeppelin show at the 02 in London. Promoter Harvey Goldsmith, who works closely with the venue, issued a statement that failed to explicitly confirm or deny the existance of such a show and once again started up reunion rumors. Click HERE for full details.

TODAY'S PICKS

DAILY TRACK: Underground Kingz - "The Game Belongs to Me"
UGK are as Houston as oil rigs, having helped originate the slow-rolling drawl-and-brawl sound that defines H-town hip-hop, but they were sidelined while their city blew up. But several cuts suggest the powerhouse UGK could have been, including the wickedly catchy "The Game Belongs to Me" feels like a beautifully stoned cruise on a humid Houston evening. Click HERE for more on Underground Kingz' album.

DAILY VIDEO: New Music Tuesdays - Manu Chao, Animal Collective

DAILY REVIEW: Against Me! - New Wave
You're not supposed to sing lines like "Similar trends in camera technique and editing" or "Protest songs in response to military aggression." They're stiff, Latinate, artistically self-conscious. But on a major-label debut following a breakthrough album all too rich in intelligent angst, they're also ballsy, and with help from name producer Butch Vig, Tom Gabel's emo-hardcore band makes them rock. Click HERE for more on the Against Me! album.
