Welcome the Silence Wins March Bandness

Welcome the Silence

Welcome the Silence has won 94.7 The Buzz’s 2009 March Bandness Local Band Tournament.

The band will receive:

• $1000 cash and prizes
• Song in regular rotation on KHBZ (94.7 The Buzz)
• A spot at Norman Music Festival
• and ‘MUCH MUCH more

Collapse of the State, My Solstice and xit27 also competed in the finals.

Past winners of March Bandness include Taddy Porter (2008), Hush Hush, Commotion (2007), Fresh Sunday (2006), Winter Circle (2005), Sly’s Alter Ego (2004) and Falcon Five-O (2003).

A message from Welcome the Silence’s manager.

From a band manager who tries daily to spread the word about a band that he believes in 100%, it is the greatest feeling when YOU fans do your part which is to show up. All of your support through this last couple months of March Bandness has amazed me! Thank you ALL for believing in YOUR band. These guys give there all and it is nice for them when things start to pay off!!! You guys are true friends and fans and showing up to ROCK YOUR ASSES OFF was SOOO kick ass. I would like to personally thank every single one of you for being excellant fans! PLEASE continue to support these guys and be ready to see a lot more of WTS soon!!! The key is CONTINUED FAN SUPPORT.
