From my friend Jay Red Eagle comes this info...

Osiyo Jay,

I will be in Tahlequah this weekend. On Saturday afternoon, my team and I will be reading a few scenes and playing some of the songs from our upcoming play, NANYEHI-BELOVED WOMAN OF THE CHEROKEE. It is informal and the public is invited.

Reception at 2 PM then a brief Nancy Ward meeting at 2:30 (10 min) then our presentation which will last an hour. It will be in the Cafeteria in the Talking leaves Job Corps building (on Stick Ross Rd., just a half mile from the CN complex) It was originally to be held in the Council Chambers, but it is being remodeled, so if you get lost, there will be posters and directions on the MAIN entrance of the CN complex.

Wado. Hope to see you there!
Becky Hobbs

I'm sure you all know who singer/songwriter Becky Hobbs is. She wrote Alabama's Hit "I Believe There are Angels Among Us" among many other songs recorded by her and various artist. She is a direct descendant of beloved Cherokee woman Nancy Ward.

Have a great Holiday..
Jay
