MAR 13 Busdriver earned his hip-hop credibility early: The underground rapper's father wrote the screenplay for the epochal old-school hip-hop film "Krush Groove,” and the young Busdriver, born Regan Farquhar, started rapping in elementary school. 26 San Diego's Switchfoot broke through commercially with 2002's "The Beautiful Letdown.” The band's latest disc, "Oh! 13 The roots of AFI were in the early '90s Berkeley, Calif. punk scene, but by 1999's "Black Sails in the Sunset,” the group led by singer Davey Havok had adopted a "dark wave” sound that it has tweaked and streamlined on its latest hit disc, "Decemberunderground.” The group will play with guests Papa Roach, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and Saosin at 5 p.m. April 13 at the Cox Convention Center, 1 Myriad Gardens.
