Youth concert at church to celebrate black history

Children, youths and adults will perform music, dance, mime and poetry and show art at the fourth annual Community Youth Concert Celebrating Black History.

The free, public concert will begin at 4 p.m. Sunday at Quayle United Methodist Church, 5001 N Everest. The event is organized by the church's Community Youth Outreach program.

Featured participants include the Sankofa Drummers, the Quayle Cherub Choir, the Edmond Santa Fe Steppers, Character Cultivating Camp Ensemble, Boyz of Praise, Generation Blessed, Philip Thomas Anointed Praise, Ebony Leverett and Taelyr Jackson, Debra Woody, and the Afrona Quilting Guild.
