Susan Herndon

Greetings!
With March Madness over and your taxes not yet done,
there's only one thing to do:
Come listen to some music!
xxooo

Rick's Cafe Americain. (51st and Harvard, Tulsa.) Wednesday, 4, 11, 18,25 April, 6:30-9 PM. If you come early enough... or late enough, you can sit at the special entertainment table. Bring your barbs and jabs and a tough skin. No whiners!
Hillcrest Country Club. (1901 Price Road, Bartlesville, Oklahoma.) Thursday, 5 April, 7-10 PM. I'm just showing off. You can't come.
Bourbon Street Midtown. (Cherry Street, between Utica & Peoria, Tulsa.) Friday, 6 April, 7-10 PM & Thursday, 19 April, 6-9 PM. w/ Jeff Graham, David White & Michael Steed.
We can't seem to agree on a name. Good thing we got the music part down!
The Grape Ranch Winery. (6 miles south of Okemah, Oklahoma.) Sunday, 8 & 15 April, 2-6 PM. Easter Sunday, too. The Resurrection (in your book). In mine, it's just Sunday.
Camerelli's. (Cherry Street, between Utica & Peoria, Tulsa.) Thursday, 12 & 26 April, 8-11 PM. Raise a toast to this most beloved of places.
French Hen. (71st and Yale, Tulsa.) Saturday, 7 & 21 April, 7-10 PM.
"Revenez! Revenez! Dans mon nid..." au poulet francais... (which in no way means I am taking sides in the upcoming elections in France, but it's time for Chirac to au revoir.)
Othello's. (434 Buchanan, Campus Corner; Norman, Oklahoma.) Friday, 13 April, 9:30 PM.
Special note to students: blow off the final preparations, drink beer, yell out "Free Bird" for no apparent reason, and then stumble home. Your parents will understand. They did the same thing.
Sam's Cellar. (101 N. Wood Street, Neosho, Missouri.) Tuesday, 17 April, 7 PM.
There, in the middle of nowhere, just down the stairs, is an oasis, and as Bob Dylan once said, a "whompin' good time." (that's right, the poet of our generation actually said whompin'.)
Bartlett Square/Music on the Square! (Downtown, Tulsa.) Thursday, 19 April, 12-1 PM.
Downtown is alive, thriving with new businesses and shops, and 20-somethings running amok, drinking lattes and staring intently at their Blackberrys.
Doe's. (Cherry Street, between Utica & Peoria, Tulsa.) Friday, 27 April, 5:30-8:30 PM.
Come, experience the brand-new patio-- at the very least, have a drink.
Big Fish. (414 S. Main St., Grapevine, Texas.) Saturday, 28 April, 6:30 PM.
Had such a great time last month! And it's just one night. Let's make nice with Texas. Come on, it won't kill us.
...and in other news...
The new album, whose working title is Oklahoma Waters, but now may be called 1,000 Pies-- is getting close to completion... i think, i hope, i pray... Anyway, the CD Release is scheduled for the 21st of July at the Performing Arts Center.
Cabin Creek Winery (in Big Cabin, Oklahoma,) has invited me to play their White Wine and Music Event again this year. It will be the 23rd of June. Don't even think about telling me you got something going on that evening! For reservations, go to: http://www.cabincreekwine.com/index.html
