Sandi Patty to hold benefit concert in Oklahoma City

Contemporary Christian recording artist Sandi Patty will perform in concert Oct. 13 to raise funds for a local boys' home.

The Sandi Patty and Friends Benefit for White Fields will be from 7 to 9 p.m. at Crossings Community Church,14600 N Portland, where the singer and her family are members.

White Fields, located in Piedmont, is a home for abused and neglected boys ages 8-18 who are the permanent custody of the Oklahoma Department of Human Services Child Welfare Division.

Joining Patty for the benefit are Christian comedienne Anita Renfroe; Katie Stam, Miss America 2009; and musicians Kim and Brian Tabor. The concert is presented by SandRidge Energy.

Patty was born and lived in Oklahoma until age 3. She moved from Indiana to the Deer Creek area of metro Oklahoma City in January, after her husband Don Peslis accepted a position at SandRidge.

Patty is a Gospel Music Hall of Fame inductee, has won 39 Dove Awards and five Grammy Awards.
