*Hosted by the Red Dirt Rangers  There will be lots of wonderful Oklahoma artists there tonight- including Greg Jacobs, Don Morris, Terry Ware... I'll be there... maybe a surprise guest or two from NY!    (Keep it under yer hat... )

My Uncle Don Morris and I will rendering together thursday evening at this wonderful old Tahlequah establishment... lovely woodwork, nice folks workin' here.... will a good evening for us and for our friends who have about gotten flooded out by the rains this lst week.  That Illinois river is a wild one... we're so sorry for the rough week you've had but we'd like to deliver some smiles and songs to ya'll in the Okie spirit of family.   We'll be packin' our musical satchels full of our own self-penned tunes... plus those of Bob Childers and our Red Dirt brothers... maybe some Woody Guthrie, too!
 
~I hear tell that our dear friends and wonderful songwriters, Bill Erickson, Patrick Williams, and Dena Coleman will be joining us with sme songs, too!  What a great night in Tahlequah, OK!

All proceeds from this event will go to create the Red Dirt Relief Fund, a non-profit organization founded and administrated by Red Dirt musicians in Stillwater to offer assistance to musicians in times of need.

Red Bull Gypsy Café is not just a Red Dirt music festival. It is a gathering of some of the genre’s greatest talent, both then a now, at the birthplace of Red Dirt music—Stillwater, OK. The event name, Gypsy Café, pays homage to the site at "The Farm" where jam sessions sprung up over the years.

Description "The First Annual Kenneth Nelson Memorial Children's Fair and Concert with be April 23, 2011 at The Dome in Perkins/Stillwater off of Perkins Rd. and 92nd Street. The exact address is 3219 E. 92nd St. Perkins, OK 74059. The phone number is 405-547-5936. There will be signs so don't worry- we will make it easy to find if you have never been there! The Children's fair is for all ages and will be held from 1-4 and will include face painting, baloon animals, Pictures with the Easter Bunny, local musician pictures and meet and greet, crafts, kiddie splash pad-weather permitting, sandbox, juice, cookies, and kiddie snacks. The concert will start with acoustic acts inside(21 and up only) at 7pm. Chad Sullins and The Last Call Coalition will go onstage at 10pm. This entire event is free. Donations will be accepted and all proceeds will go toward next years concert, The Mental Health Association of Central Oklahoma (to help promote Mental Health Awareness), and the Senior P-THS scholarship and plaque that will be awarded this year. The scholarship is for an outstanding P-THS Senior that excels in FFA, Athletics, and Leadership. If you know anyone interested in applying for the scholarship have them contact the P-THS high school counselor or Aleisha Nelson at aleisha.nelson@okstate.edu for an application.
