Drive By Truckers

Y'ALL:
I want to start out by thanking everyone who supported us on our first leg of The Home Front Tour 2008.
We had a total blast despite a nasty flu bug that made it's way through our bus, Cooley's surgery recovery, and a meteor almost hitting us in the middle of the night somewhere in Idaho. All that said, the meteor missed us, we all recovered from our various illnesses, and ticket sales were up all over as we came into our home stretch playing some of our favorite shows ever. Much more to come:

We leave early next week to haul ass up to NYC to play Late Night with Conan O'Brien (our third time) next Tuesday, March 11th.
Check local listings for times and details. We'll be doing something a little differently than past TV appearances and we're real excited about it all.

We then will haul ass back down south to kick off our second leg of tour in Huntsville AL, Memphis and Nashville before working our way back up to Canada, across to Boston (already sold out), NYC then back southward including a stop in our home away from home Richmond VA. And a sold out show in Asheville NC.

On SOLD OUT shows, we do the best we can to help folks get in and discourage scalpers, so check the box office on day of show, as whenever possible, we'll try to release a few extras to help out and discourage the illegal taking advantage of our fine fans.

SPOONER OLDHAM will indeed be playing Conan's show with us and will be on about 1/3 of the dates for next leg. We love having him whenever possible for more reasons than I could possibly list here.

APRIL: The band won't be playing any shows in April, as Brad Morgan and his beautiful wife will be having a baby. Please wish them all the best as they begin this joyous journey.

I will be playing a short run of solo shows in April. These will be different from solo shows past in several ways and I'll release more details very soon.
Wed. April 16th - Athens GA - 40 Watt / Thu. April 17 - Atlanta GA - The 5 Spot / Fri. April 18 - Nashville TN - Mercy Lounge / Sat. April 19 - Oxford MS - Proud Larry's (1st solo show in Oxford EVER) / Sun. April 20 - Birmingham AL - Work Play
I will have a little different instrumentation on this tour than past tours and I'll announce more details soon.

The Indianapolis and Chicago shows will be opened by our good friends GLOSSARY from Murfreesboro TN. If you haven't seen them, you owe it to yourself to catch them, as they're a great band and their new album is
fantastic. After those, the remainder of the may dates will be opened by THE DEXATEENS.
Our love of that band has been well known for some time, and I've been trying to put together a full tour with them for years. I co-produced one of their albums, but forgive my possible conflict of interest in saying they are truly one of the best bands in America and their live show is as good as it gets.

BEYOND: We are of course playing Bonnaroo this year and will have dates to announce soon as we tour through the summer months and beyond. Look for an announcement of European Dates VERY SOON.

We're still hoping and working towards seeing the new album released on vinyl. We're thrilled to announce that BRIGHTER THAN CREATION'S DARK is being our fastest selling album ever and now that our tour is picking
up steam we hope to push this one through to being our best selling album to date.

Again, all of these good announcements would not be possible without the hard work of our beloved and hard working road crew (the best in the biz), our great team of managers and agents and support personnel, and most of all it couldn't happen without your support. We never take it for granted and will do all in our power to be worthy and at our
best each and every night.

Long Live Rock and Roll.
