RADIOHEAD REVEAL BITS OF NEW MATERIAL Following the announcement that they are "nearly there" regarding the completion of their new album, Radiohead posted a sneak preview of the material on their blog over the weekend. In typically cryptic fashion, the music is a mix of studio extras pieced together and played backwards. Head to Rock Daily to hear it. . .

BONNAROO 2007 COMES TO A CLOSE Last night concluded a weekend of Bonnaroo performances including sets by the Police, the White Stripes, and a super jam with Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones, Ben Harper and Roots drummer ?uestlove. High temperatures also sent jazz musician Ornette Coleman to the hospital after he collapsed on stage from heat stroke. Visit Rock Daily for behind-the-scenes videos and interviews and the latest on Coleman. . .

LOU PEARLMAN BUSTED Lou Pearlman, the mastermind behind 'N Sync and the Backstreet Boys, was arrested late last week in Bali. Pearlman had fled the U.S. after the FBI alleged he conned investors in a Ponzi Scheme, and was remanded to Guam today pending his transfer back to Florida.

Bartlesville Music Scene... from Bridget....

I know I am leaving some stuff out but at this time this is all I know about because I am directly involved in it.... this is deadline week for The Current and of course OK Mozart os going on so I am beyond busy. Friday night is the Dustin Pittsley Band at the Red Dog.....special guest is keyboard/organ player John Galley who has played on many grammy winning records.....Saturday night the Jimmie Johnson band will be at the Million Dollar Elm Casino and John Galley will be playing there as well, but he is no longer a special guest. He's just part of the band. Things always seem to work that way... bands interbreed and form alliances... the Dustin Pittsley Band and the Jimmie Johnson band are pretty bad about it and I notice that Tuff Profit, Deeper and Hell or High Water do it alot too. This is, of course how it should be with everyone trading equipment and borrowing players. Speaking of that sort of thing, I know that people on the Mothra Stewart/Doubletake side of the world are having a hard time with the flood situation and I know Ron Dunkles house is the one that caught on fire, so everyone should get in touch with these people and see what needs to be done to help them out. We have enough gear to be able to keep them all playing until they get it replaced I am sure.Make sure if you have something going on you e mail me and let me know for this weekend as well as anything you might have goin on in July.... If I get it in the next day I an still get it in The Current and of course I can slide anything in here at any time. Next week I will begin working on stories for the August issue and will need information for that month asap as I am going on vacation in Colorado for several days.Looks like the Woolaroc concert might be moved indoors so make sure and call the BCC box office before you head out for the concert! Call 336-2787 for up to the minute info. I personally will be wherever the concert is held. It will be a shame to miss the fireworks and the beauty that is Woolaroc, but it would be more of a shame to miss the music. Dueling fiddles played by world class violinist's in my hometown is probably a once in a lifetime opportunity and I am not going to miss that. I urge you not to as well.

Here ya go....

Stolen from 'the Wolf'... hope that's ok... N???

This is the most important day in your life. Because this is the day that you are now living. If your life is headed in an undesirable direction, this is the day you can change it. If there are dreams you are longing to fulfill, this is the day you can follow them. This day, right now, is the day when you can put to use all the knowledge, experience and wisdom you've accumulated. On this very day, you can do the things you've been meaning to do and connect with the people you've been meaning to see.On this day, you have a world full of choices. On this day, there are more possibilities than ever before.Of all the days you've ever lived, and of all the days to come, this is the one special day that now matters the most. For it is on this very day that you can now think and speak and act and love and live.Give yourself a quiet, peaceful moment, and grasp the immense value that is now yours on this very day. Then step forward and fill it with beautiful life.-- Ralph Marston
