Be sure to vote for Cancer Sucks as the BEST CHARITY EVENT in The Urban Tulsa Magazine (ABOT Awards Ballot). We have won this award for the last 3 years so we need to make sure that everyone votes so we can keep our title! Two run-off ballots will be published in the June 14-20 and June 21-28 editions. The nomination ballot where you could do write ins was published in print and online May 10 and May 17. This run-off ballot is a list for "2 Close to Call" nominees. CANCER SUCKS RECEIVES $800.00 FROM CAR SHOW!
On June 9th The Tulsa SCION CAR CLUB hosted their Second Annual Scion Show in Tulsa called Scikotics Asylum. There were 112 Scions registered for the show from as far away as NorCal and New Jersey.During the show we held a raffle for parts that were donated to us by some of our sponsors. Normally we use all of the funds of this raffle to support our website but this year we decided we would give half of the proceeds to CancerSucks.com. I am enclosing the details of the instrument that is vital for my laboratory to quantitate nuclear message for various protein levels in cancer tissue samples. Right now there is some special promotion going on for the instrument for this quoted reduced price. CANCER SUCKS to have a booth at ROCKLAHOMA!
Cancer Sucks has been invited to be a vendor at ROCKLAHOMA and gain a HUGE amount of exposure in the process. They are expecting over 100,000 people to attend the concert. Tickets have been sold in 50 states and across six continents, Rocklahoma has literally become one of the largest music festivals in the world. TWENTY THREE bands are scheduled to play during the three-day festival, making Rocklahoma the largest ‘80’s rock festival of its kind to be organized. Anyone attending the concert is welcome to volunteer at our booth. Volunteers are probably going to have to purchase tickets for the concert so we are trying to involve volunteers that may already be planning to attend.
Bands include: Poison, Ratt, Quiet Riot, Slaughter,Y&T, White Lion, Vince Neil, Dokken, Winger, Skid Row, Warrant, Firehouse, Enuff Z Nuff, Faster Pussycat, Bulletboys and Bang Tango, Twisted Sister, W.A.S.P., Jackyl, Great White, LA Guns, Steelheart and Britny Fox
WE ARE SEEKING DONATIONS OF SUNSCREEN TO HAVE ON HAND FOR THE PUBLIC THAT MAY NOT BE USED TO OKLAHOMA IN JULY!
