**************************************************************
Crow Creek Tavern.  (
3534 S. Peoria, Tulsa.)  Thursday, 1 April, Tuesday, 6 & 27 April, 8:30 pm.  Playing here tomorrow night with my new 10-piece band-- strings and horns and a fireworks display too...  April Fools!  But seriously, playing here tomorrow night with the CherryPickers!  And that's the truth.  Also hosting the first and last Tuesday of this month for the ever popular Singer-Songwriter Night.  Come on out!

The Price Tower.  (510 S. Dewey, Bartlesville.)  Friday, 2 April, 7 pm.
This is the first evening of a new concert series here at Frank Lloyd Wright's only skyscraper.   You won't be disappointed in this setting.  Truly.  And we're having a slumber party afterwards... bring your pjs and your toothbrush... (toothpaste is provided :-)

French Hen.  (71st & Yale, Tulsa.)  Saturday, 3 April, 7 pm.   Guess i'll just say it again:
Si speciale, La Poule Francaise!  I may never move to Texas, if they keep inviting me to play here...

Elwood's.  (1924 Riverside Drive, Tulsa.)  Sunday, 4 April, 3 pm, Friday, 30 April, 8 pm.  It's a resurrection of the old River's Edge!  Yes, and it's Easter Sunday!  How many years has it been since we played down there regularly?  Happy Happy Spring!  This is the satellite location of Tom Dittus' Blue Rose Cafe.  And then, we'll be back down there again the last night of the month, on Friday w/ the CherryPickers!  You come, too!

Rick's Cafe Americain.  (31st & Harvard, Tulsa.)  Tuesday, 6 & 27 April, 6:30 pm.
We've been having a really nice time back here at Rick's.  The coziest place in town.  Now the weather is nice, and the patio is open and... the world will always welcome lovers... as time goes by...

Anderson Fair.  (2007 Grant, Houston, Texas.)  Thursday, 8 April.
One of the oldest folk/original music venues in continuous operation in the US, says their website, they've been hosting the troubadours of the genre since the 1960's.  This will be a songwriter showcase.

Fred's Texas Cafe.  (915 Currie Street, Ft Worth, Texas.)  Saturday, 10 April, 3 pm.
Not Bob's not Ralph's not Hootie's, but Fred's... and not Oklahoma, not Arkansas, not Hawaii, but Texas.  First time at this club, so you know the drill:  come one, come all, but be on your best behaviour.

Botticelli's.  (1321 S. Congress Ave, Austin, Texas.)  Tuesday, 13 April, 7:30 pm.
Spero quindi che uscirà a botticelli in austin bella!  è la mia prima volta ci, in modo da sapere: essere sul tuo comportamento migliore!

The Cove.  (
606 West Cypress St, San Antonio, Texas.)  Friday, 16 April, 8 pm.
It's a car wash!  A laundry mat!  An ice cream parlor!  A taco stand!  AND a really cool place to hear live music!  With a nice stage, a full bar, a big room and a dance floor, wine tastings, beer tastings, and the best burger in Texas.  They've got Veggie Burger's too!

There's Something in the Water Festival.  (
Wooden Suspension Bridge, Regency, Texas.)  Saturday, 17 April.  I am honoured to be invited to play this 3rd Annual Festival in rustic Regency, home of this cool festival and this cool bridge.  There're a number of people going down en masse for this so we'll hook you up with a caravan if you want.  For more info,
go to:  http://www.twobaddogs.com/joelmelton/festival.htm

Poodie's Hilltop Cafe.  (22308 State HW 71 West, Spicewood, Texas.)  Friday, 23 April, 9:30 pm.  Randall 'Poodie' Locke was Willie Nelson's stage manager and part of Willie's Family.  He passed away last year, but they have kept this, Poodie's Bar and Grill, open and continuing on.  I'm working in Austin on my new album all of this week of April,
and will finish off the week here in celebration and opening for Lost Gonzo Cosmic Cowboy, Bob Livingston.

The Grape Ranch.  (6 miles south of Okemah.)  Sunday, 25 April, 2 pm.
What a great gift the Grape Ranch folks provide for Oklahoma each Saturday and Sunday, and every weekend with their Singer-Songwriter series.   And in such a beautiful setting.  If you've never been-- what are you waiting for?!
