Happy New Years to ALL! We're looking ahead to 2009 with anticipation - we had amazing crowds and an even better lineup than ever in 2008 and we're working to up the ante in July 2009!
We also want to take a moment to gloat and let you know that the Tulsa World voted Dfest the BEST concert of 2008! AND, Dfest made the top 100 in Urban Tulsa Weekly. So, we want to say thank you to both Tulsa World and Urban Tulsa Weekly for having such good taste!
So, what's new for 2009? We are working on creating an even better experience for YOU at Dfest! The first thing we want to do is give YOU the opportunity again to help us decide what artists should be at Dfest! Last year we asked who you wanted to see at Dfest and we brought acts that you wanted to see. Since you turned out in record numbers to see the acts at Dfest, we feel like getting your input is a good idea - so we're asking again who you want to see at Dfest 2009!
Keep reading to Who's NEXT to select your bands!
Welcome 2009 sponsors: Arvest Bank, New Dominion, LLC, Anheuser-Busch (Budweiser) and Tulsa Community College!

This is NOT a contest! So a friendly note to bands, don't sit and spend hours adding your name! Let your fans voice your support! Or your moms! We're just taking bands into consideration - the suggestions we get will help us decide who's playing, but it's not a guarantee of who's playing.TOP
2009 Artist Submissions
Dfest Music + Conference is now accepting artist submissions for 2009!
Click the "Wanna Play" button for furthur details.
We accept both snail mail and SonicBids for Dfest submissions!
Dfest 2009 will feature around 150 artists representing more than 20 musical genres on a dozen stages in downtown Tulsa's historic Blue Dome District. Out of those 150 artists, generally about 130 of those are unsigned and emerging artists. The two-day multi-genre music festival with an added music industry conference was established in 2002 to help emerging artists gain exposure and connect with the music industry. Dfest hosts two full days of music panels, music clinics and artist mentoring at its conference. Each night, Dfest features national recording artists on large outdoor festival stages while top local, regional and national emerging artists perform on a multitude of outdoor states and indoor venue and club stages.

So, we need special people to make the Dfest experience spectacular. We want everyone to remember that the festival is stellar not only for the great independent music and envigorating education, but also because of the congenial, friendly and supportive staff they encounter!
