Hansford Featured On Love Song CD

Shawnee's Candace Hansford is featured in Kent Jones Productions' Oklahoma Love Journey of church soloists performing their favorite love songs. The singers also tell stories about why the songs are so meaningful to them.

The First Baptist Church vocalist owns Lasting Impressions interior design and gifts, also in Shawnee. Her entertainment career spans music and beauty contests at Baylor University to the Shawnee Little Theater. The popular director of the Miss Shawnee Beauty Pageant also performs currently with an '80s rock band.

Hansford was one of only 14 people selected as one of Oklahoma's best church voices to sing popular music on the two hour, two CD set. The poetic imagery of her "The Colour of My Love" was a natural choice for an interior designer with vocal talent. "I remember the first time I sang it at a friend's wedding," she said. "The words are just picturesque."

"Candace is unique among the vocalists selected," said Jones. "Unmarried, her deep love is for family members that she is very close to. Everyone is single at some time and can relate to the passion behind her favorite love song."

The CD is available at www.cdbaby.com.
