BART CROW BAND RELEASES BRAND NEW SINGLE “HOLLYWOOD” ON FEBRUARY 2ND! ACCLAIMED YOUNG TUNESMITH DEXTER GREEN STARS AS PRODUCER! For Immediate Release: Contact: Brandy Reed (615) 673-0150 Nashville, TN-Monday, February 2, 2009-After closing out the year hitting the Texas Music Chart’s Top 10, again, with his latest single "Back Down," Bart Crow got the news that "Understand" (also from his latest CD DESPERATE HEARTS) was the #4 most played single of 2008. With a history of chart hitting singles since 2006, Bart Crow is off to a full throttle start in 2009 with the release of his brand new single “Hollywood” on February 2nd. Crow teamed up with acclaimed writer/producer Dexter Green to record a more enhanced version of the song laden with picturesque piano overlays and musical hooks. “Hollywood is one of the more spiritually honest songs that I have ever written. It’s a true story about a friend who lost their path to their dreams by believing in false hope, but I guess sometimes it takes a heart break to realize you were blind to begin with. It’s only then that you can make the decision to move on or sink.” Dexter Green has quickly become one of most promising young rock writer/producers in both Nashville and Atlanta. His most recent writing and production credits can be found on Youth, the latest album from Atlanta’s Collective Soul. Dexter co-wrote and produced the album’s biggest single, “Better Now,” which broke the Top 10 on the Billboard charts, scored a #1 position in Canada, was featured in Wes Craven’s film, Cursed, and had a year long run in a series of commercials for Kellogg. In addition to Collective Soul, Dexter has also worked with Atlantic Records pop artist Leslie Mills, Rebecca Lynn Howard, Arista Country artist Carolyn Dawn Johnson and Atlanta indie favorites Five Star Iris. A graduate of New York’s Manhattan School of Music Dexter is as adept at writing string arrangements as he is at laying down his signature guitar work. Dexter is one of the top composers/writers with one of the top commercial music houses in Nashville: iV music. His commercial credits include spots for Dodge, Ford, Toyota, O’Charlie’s, Mattel, Folgers and Coors Light. Bart Crow’s New Year’s Eve gala and food drive set the stage for a stellar New Year with an upwards of 1,000 tickets sold and over 1,000 pounds of food donated to Waxahachie Care, a non-profit organization providing counseling/referrals, food and financial assistance to help struggling families. Crow was overwhelmed with his fan’s generosity! “I always look forward to going home to play music, especially on New Year’s Eve, because it always seems to bring out some old faces that I haven’t got to see in a while. Teaming up this year with Waxahachie Care made the show a thousand times more rewarding. We raised over 1000 pounds of food for Waxahachie Care! Thanks everybody!” For review copies, interviews or more information contact RPR Media |
