DFest / Colourmusic Music Video Contest

DFest, Colourmusic and the Oklahoma Foundation for the Music Industry (OKFMI) are teaming up for a music video contest and they need your help. They’re looking for local filmmakers to create a two minute music video for one of the band’s songs, either “Yes” or “Circles”.

Popout

The Rules:
1. The video must contain one “thing” (an object, relationship, or activity) that is experienced daily, and alter the way it is generally perceived or related to
2. It must contain the color orange in some manner
3. The video must be 2 minutes long.
4. The video can not contain alcohol, drugs or gambling.

The deadline to submit is July 17 at midnight.

Videos will be narrowed down to the top five finalists, who will be notified by July 18. The winner will be selected at an event from 7-8pm on Sunday, July 19, at Circle Cinema in Tulsa. A panel of judges and the audience will screen the top five and select the winner. Fans who participate in the screenings will receive a free wristband for Colourmusic’s July 23 performance in the IDL Ballroom at 11pm.

The winning filmmaker will receive $250 dollars, two Dfest VIP Passes, a three night’s stay at Hard Rock Casino Tulsa during DFest weekend and the winning video will be played on the DFest main stage screen during DFest weekend.

This contest is a celebration of the success that Colourmusic had on their recent tour in Europe. This tour would not have been possible without the help of OKFMI and State Farm. With the funding provided to Colourmusic they were able to get the exposure needed to get distribution in Europe with a European label and get a UK Booking Agent. This contest is to show how partnering with OKFMI can make the difference, and also give an aspiring filmmaker the chance to create something fun and get their name out.
