Luke Bulla/Jared Tyler/Jeff Autry Oklahoma Shows

To All Music Lovers ~

We are so blessed to have Luke Bulla and Jeff Autry come to Oklahoma this June to share their musical gifts.

I am completely honored and awed to share the stage with these master musicians, singers, and songwriters!

We are all three from diverse backgrounds, and our musicians' pedigrees include performing, writing, and/or recording with such musical greats as EmmyLou Harris, Keb' Mo', Lyle Lovett, Malcolm Holcombe, John Cowan, Jerry Douglas, Ricky Skaggs, Sam Bush, John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), and many others.

This collaboration will include original songs, a variety of bluegrass standards, instrumentals, and three part harmonies of the highest order. We have performed together in various configurations before and the audience can expect to enjoy a strong depth of musical prowess as well as a very entertaining experience. Please join us at the following performances!

More info about Luke Bulla:

Luke Bulla has been singing and playing music most of his life. Touring with and singing in his family band from age four, Luke took up the fiddle at seven. Over the course of the next few years, he won the National Fiddle Contest (in Weiser, Idaho) six times in his respective age categories. His seventh win came in the Grand Champion division at age sixteen, making him the youngest to have earned the title at the time. Entering Nashville's Grand Masters fiddle contest at age ten, Luke distinguished himself by being the youngest person to have made the top ten. Spring of 1999 found Luke moving to Nashville to establish himself as a full time musician. He spent his early years in Tennessee playing fiddle in Ricky Skaggs' band, Kentucky Thunder. Following the Skaggs stint, he became a member of the John Cowan Band. More recently Luke has performed and/or recorded with Jim Lauderdale, Darrell Scott, Alison Krauss, Jerry Douglas, Lyle Lovett, Sam Bush, Edgar Meyer, Bela Fleck, Bryan Sutton, Kevin Costner & Modern West, Russ Barenberg Trio, Sean Watkins, Sara Watkins, Tony Rice, Chris Thile, Peter Rowan, Glen Phillips, Rodney Crowell, and Earl Scruggs, to name a few. Luke is a perennial instructor at Mark O'Connor's fiddle camps. With long-time friend, Casey Driessen, Luke founded the band, Wisechild. The band toured briefly with John Mayer and Counting Crows. In addition to violin, Luke plays guitar, sings and writes songs. His newest band collaboration, W.P.A. (Works Progress Administration), includes members Sean Watkins (Nickel Creek, Fiction Family), Glen Phillips (Toad The Wet Sprocket), Sara Watkins (Nickel Creek), Benmont Tench (Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers), Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello and the Imposters, The Attractions, Los Lobos), Greg Leisz (Joni Mitchell, Wilco, Sheryl Crow, Beck), and Davey Faragher (Elvis Costello and the Imposters, Cracker). In the spring of '09, Lyle Lovett asked Luke to join his Large Band, and Luke now tours full time in that configuration. He is also working on material for a solo record slated for release later this year.

More info about Jeff Autry:

Born July 4, 1965 in Decatur, GA, Jeff Autry began playing guitar at age 12 and grew up playing bluegrass in a musical family.  In his teenage years, he performed with various local bluegrass bands in the Atlanta area and began to the tour bluegrass festival circuits in the Southeast.  At age 20, Jeff helped form the new acoustic/bluegrass band Clearwater with banjoist Frank Lee (Freight Hoppers) and mandolinist, Matt Mundy (Aquarium Rescue Unit).  He later performed with The Generics, an all original instrumental fusion band with Mundy and banjo guru Scott Vestal.  At age 25, he recorded on Vestal's new acoustic solo project, In Pursuit Of Happiness, and at age 26, took a 6 month tour of Japan with Vestal.  After returning to the U.S., Jeff played with various touring bluegrass bands including, The Lynn Morris Band and The Bluegrass Cardinals. Throughout his career, Jeff has performed on stage and recorded with some of America's premier musicians, including John Cowan, Sam Bush, Ricky Skaggs, Darrell Scott, Jim Lauderdale, Tony Rice, Bela Fleck, Vassar Clements, Tim O'Brien and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin).  Jeff's prowess on guitar and vocals has, for the last eleven years, anchored the ever-changing, always challenging guitarist spot in the multi-genre John Cowan Band.
