Bring your Christmas cards to have the stamps hand-cancelled with Gruene's 2007 commemorative stamp at the temporary post office set up next to Gruene Outfitters. Pony Express riders from the Heritage Trail Ride Association will arrive at 10 am carrying a "Christmas Greeting" from the governor of Texas.

Gruene lights up for the holidays when Cowboy Kringle rides into town on horseback and hands out candy canes to the kids. Free admission. Afterwards, shop over thirty stores, cozy up to a fireplace for dinner at the Gristmill or head over to the Hall for a cold one.
