The Tulsa World and Cain's Ballroom presented the ninth annual Spot Music Awards on Saturday night.

And just as the number nine is a lucky one in Chinese lore, representing the dragon -- strength, long life and vitality -- this year's awards presentation rocked the historic venue and served as a reminder that Tulsa's music scene is very much alive and kicking.

Many call the awards the Grammys of northeastern Oklahoma. This year, we're calling it a roof-shaking, history-making collision of bands and fans.

Here are some images from this year's presentation.
