ROLLING STONE BREAKING ARTIST: SANTOGOLD
Santogold is Santi White, a Philly-born, Wesleyan-educated producer-turned-songwriter, and her partner in rock, Johnny Rodeo, who create eccentric pop that's a culture-clash of world music, blips and bleeps, and a healthy dose of reggae. Click HERE to find out more and watch a video from the duo.

TODAY'S PICKS

DAILY TRACK: John Fogerty - "Creedence Song"
Fogerty's documentary roots rock was always rebel music, a counterculture of factory-floor politics via Hank Williams and Dale Hawkins. Revival is no rerun. It is Fogerty getting back to work -- and finally acting on his own advice, in a song he's actually named after his old band: "You can't go wrong if you play a little bit of that Creedence song." Click HERE for more.

DAILY REVIEW: Betty LaVette - The Scene of the Crime
Until she was rediscovered early this decade, Detroit's Bettye LaVette was a great lost soul diva, her career derailed in the early Seventies due largely to record-label troubles. LaVette made a comeback in recent years, earning a spate of new fans -- including Southern rockers the Drive-By Truckers, who back LaVette on this covers-heavy set. Click HERE for more on the album.
