Hi Friends!

October finds JFJO in a state of regeneration on the heels of our September tour to NOLA and out east. We had a wonderful time on this run, and were very blessed to get to make music with so many good musicians and friends. It was incredibly fun and inspiring. A big thanks goes out to all our friends and family who helped make the entire September tour such a success!

This month also finds us with our last 4 major shows of the year fast approaching. We're overjoyed to be playing at the new Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame this Friday, October 12th in Tulsa,OK. Be sure to make it out for this early, 9pm sharp, hometown, all-ages event! Then this Sunday, October 14th, we will be playing another Oklahoma date, this time in Norman at the Fall 2007 Groovefest.

We pick back up a few days later in Colorado for the last two big shows of the year. We are thrilled to be playing these shows with our friends The Dead Kenny G's and Mike Dillon's GoGo Jungle. Don't miss the slew of jazzing that is bound to ensue and be sure to attend the Fox Theater in Boulder on October 17th and the Aggie Theater in Ft.Collins on October 18th!

As 2008 approaches on the horizon, we find ourselves continuing to work on the new JFJO album with electronic music wizard Tae Meyulks. Keep you eyes and ears peeled for further updates and a Spring '08 release on Hyena Records.

If somehow you have yet to do so, do yourself a favor and acquire our 2006 digital exclusive album Tomorrow We'll Know Today which is available in lossless (FLAC) form at LiveDownloads.com. Also keep on the lookout for shows from this Septembers run to be available online at archive.org and bt.etree.org.

For those in need some extra fresh JFJO material be sure to check out the new live JFJO from the east coast shows with Steve Kimock this past June which are available for download from DigitalSoundboards.net.

Special thanks goes to Peripheral Media Projects for designing our new posters and the banner for jfjo.com. PMP also designed a new JFJO T-Shirt for every shape and size, that will be available at our upcoming shows, as well as on our website sometime soon.

One consequence of touring and performing is that we inevitably burn petroleum throughout our travels on planes or in our van. That's why we have partnered with Bay Area non-profit LiveNeutral to take real action on climate change. For every ton of greenhouse gas emissions that our touring adds to the atmosphere, LiveNeutral will take one ton back through their DriveNeutral and FlyNeutral carbon offset programs. In effect, JFJO will be touring "carbon neutral." You can take back your emissions too. Check out DriveNeutral.org and FlyNeutral.org online to join this community of active folks doing their part to stop the climate crisis.

Also, look for Reed Mathis at The Regatta Bar in Boston,MA on October 16th and again at Joe's Pub in NYC,NY on Oct.19th. Reed will be playing with Andrew Barr and Marco Benevento both nights, the latter of which is a special release party for Marco's new album 'Live at Tonic' - which Reed also appears on, and is now available on Rope-a-Dope Records.

Thanks for your support. Hope to see you at the shows.

"...they've transported this music back from some distant eon where boundaries between genres have been abolished and music, pure music, pours out like water from a rock in the desert before thirsty Israelites. It's like forbidden technology from the future smuggled back through a tear in the time-space continuum. They are onto something most haven't caught up with..yet." - Dennis Cook, Crazewire
