Howdy from Mudville...
Two Solos This Weekend
FRI OCT 26, Greg performs the songs of Woody Guthrie--along with those from other Oklahoma songwriters and a few of his own--as part of the Voices of Oklahoma event hosted by the Living Literature Center at NSU. The peformance is free and open to the public beginning at 7:30P at the Broken Arrow campus, A-building. http://nsuok.edu/news/story.php?2022
SAT OCT 27 (10:30-11:00), the acoustic stage of the Freakers Ball hosts a solo performance by Greg, along with many talented local singer-songwritery types. And there's plenty of rock to be experienced with 30 acts on 5 stages in and around the legendary Cain's Ballroom. Tickets are $11 in advance, $13 at the door... all ages... doors at 7:00P. www.myspace.com/freakersballroomblitz
Version 3.0
The Mudville Project welcomes Randy Patton (RedEcco) back--this time on bass--as we say bon voyage to Grant Vespasian and Greg Younger, who both decided to step away after the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival. Music fans can check out the "electric trio" and more new songs at the Sound Pony on SAT NOV 17 (10P). The band will be followed by the superb roots-pop band Big Silver (Little Rock). No cover & no covers (21+). www.myspace.com/soundponylounge
Hope to see you at a show (any show) real soon. Cheers!
