FRIDAY: 9.14.07 - we loaded up the trailer and van for Love and War in Plano, TX. Great show...great turnout ( a new attendance record for us) and an exciting night of music, food and drink!
SATURDAY: 9.15.07 - was FARMFEST in Chillicothe with the Brothers Flynn, Twister Cain, Brandon Jenkins, 1100 Springs, Under The Influence, Dustin Morris, Bailey, many other pickers, 94.9 The Outlaw and all of our friends from Vernon and the surrounding area! Thanks to Papa and Mama Flynn, Zack, Mark and Delinda from the Cotton Bowl, John Wolfe, Ron and PJ...and all of the organizers and volunteers for a great night of music outdoors "under the stars" on a beautiful, clear night!!! ...go John Wolfe dot com!
SUNDAY: 9.16.07 - Hey...we're not done yet! Sunday afternoon was another Billy Bob's Extravaganza featuring Johnny acoustic with Micky and the Motorcars broadcast live on 95.9 The Ranch from the historic Fort Worth Stockyards. A special "thank you" goes out to Chuck Taylor and all of the Ranch Hands and Billy Bob's staff and sound crew for putting together another early evening artist showcase! The show started just a few minutes before the Cowboys finished thumping Miami...and everybody that made it out (along with the thousands listening in) had a great time!


THIS WEEK'S ACTION:
It's FESTIVAL WEEK... we're headed for Webster just south of Houston on Thursday at Big Texas South and then to Stephenville where Johnny will kick off Larry Joe Taylor's "Rhymes and Vines" Festival on Friday afternoon at 4 PM. Johnny is scheduled to perform 1:30 PM for the Concho River Music Festival on Saturday in San Angelo, so get out EARLY!!! This will be a great weekend for music, so pick your show and "make a showing"... remember, it's all about the music!

William Arthur McDonald, 23 passed away on Monday, Sept. 10, 2007 in Tyler, Texas. Funeral services will be held at Floral Heights Methodist Church in Wichita Falls on Friday, Sept. 14, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. with Dr. Paul Goodrich officiating. Burial will take place at Crestview Memorial Cemetery on Friday, Sept. 14 under the direction of Lunn's Colonial Funeral home.Will's passion in life was his writing, photography, music, and most importantly his art. Will was born on July 9, 1984 in Wichita Falls. He attended WFHS where he lettered in golf, was a member of the Spanish Club, and received a National Who's Who Award for Art. Will graduated from WFHS in 2003 as a Texas Scholar. Upon graduation Will was the recipient of the Retired Teachers Association Annual Scholarship for high-ranking seniors. Will also received the Patriot Scholarship at The University of Texas at Tyler where he would attend school.
