5th Annual Payne County Line Oklahoma Music Awards

The 5th Annual Payne County Line Oklahoma Music Awards is now under way at paynecountyline.com through Midnight, January 31.
There are 110 sections included in the ballot for those involved in the music business in Oklahoma, plus a small section for Texas Music.
The process is unique because the voter actually selects those they feel should win, not from a pre-selected list chosen by others. There is one vote per ISP per email. Extras are automatically trashed. The balloting is open to anyone who has an interest in Oklahoma Music, the Artists, or Musicians, or anyone who works inside the world of music in Oklahoma.
To become a nominee in a section, one must receive 25 votes. The winner is the one with the most votes with results announced approximately February 14.
Anyone with an interest in Oklahoma Music may vote by going to http://www.paynecountyline.com and clicking on the link for the 2008 Ballot.
The awards were started in 2003 by Stan Moffat, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Since the beginning, the number of votes cast has continually increased with the votes cast last year passing the 2 million mark. Moffat can be frequently overheard remarking that “Oklahoma is home to the most exceptional artists and musicians in the world. Just look at our history for proof.” Moffat says, “The Payne County Line Oklahoma Music Awards give the magnificent fans of those involved in the industry a chance to voice their true opinions.
