Cowboys Forever - not
OSU launching new video for Homecoming
Oklahoma State athletic officials announced today the debut of a new video as part of the build-up for the introduction of the football team as players take the field at Boone Pickens Stadium for to;night's Homecoming game against the Missouri Tigers.

"We listened to our students and they told us they wanted something different," said athletic director Mike Holder on okstate.com. "Our students are very important to the success of our athletic programs and this year they have responded in record numbers for football. They have been loud in bringing an incredible high level of energy and excitement to our game atmosphere. The vast majority of students we heard from favored the theme line Cowboys 4ever and the video, but they felt a different song might work better."

The original song also had its fans, Holder said.

"The original song is well done and it has its fans, too. In the end, it didn't get the traction we had hoped with students, so we took action."

The Cowboys Forever video featured footage of Dez Bryant, who has been pulled from play as the NCAA sorts out the issue of Bryant lying about contact he had with Deion Sanders. Holder didn't say whether that was a factor in changing videos.

Fans will have to show up earlier for pre-game festivities to view the new video presentation. Pre-game activities will begin at 7:50 p.m. with kickoff at 8:15 pm.
