Feed the Childrena and Sandi Patty Team Up

Oklahoma City, OK (Sept. 28, 2009) Feed The Children is partnering with Christian singer and Oklahoma City native Sandi Patty to deliver a semi tractor-trailer full of food items to the Latino Community Development Agency at 420 SW 10th (10th & Walker) on Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. Feed The Children Founder and President Larry Jones will be in attendance with Sandi Patty. Patty recently recorded a music show for Feed The Children that will be aired during the holiday season.

Feed The Children, working with local partner agency Latino Community Development Agency, will provide a box of food and personal care items to recipients. The boxes are designed to help supplement a family for up to one week.

Sandi Patty has earned 39 Dove awards for Gospel Artist, Female Vocalist, and Inspirational Album of the Year, all from the Gospel Music Association. She has also received Grammy awards for Best Gospel Performance of a Duo or Group in 1984, 1986, and 1987. Also earned Best Gospel Performance, Female in 1987 and Best Pop Gospel Album in 1991. She was named Inspirational Artist of the Year by Billboard magazine, 1986-89 and inducted into Gospel Music Hall of Fame in 2004.
