FLASHBACK: Victoria Vein and the Thunderpunks
Here’s a video from way back: arguably the first glam band in Oklahoma music history - Victoria Vein and the Thunderpunks. The song is called “Other Things” and the footage is from Ronnie Kaye’s “The Scene”, a weekly local teen dance show on WKY-TV. This footage is circa 1974.

From the YouTube description:
At last live and in living color awaiting in the archives for 35 years, complete with dancers. The first glam band ever in Oklahoma!! This recording is what later would lead to the recording of Debris’ Static Disposal at Benson Sound Studio in Oklahoma City…..The song is OTHER THINGS written by Anita Fisher Powers ,C.R.”Harley” Harrison and OLiver REctoMO POwers. Features Chuck Poison Ivey on bass and Robb Haze on Lead Guitar and Ricky Muchmore on drums. The band was originally called the COCKTAILS and featured DOC HOLLIDAY on drums, who is now touring with other great musicians across the universe…we love ya Doc…Wish ya could of been there but we were happy to find Ricky to fill in! Hope all enjoy a video that has been lost for years…….
