Reba McEntire’s new 13-song album clocks in at over 48 minutes, a hefty volume that feels even longer due to its wordiness, its disappointing lack of focus, and its inability to capitalize on the momentum of a number of exemplary tracks. Despite the fact that half of Keep on Loving You reminds us why Reba is a legend, the album as a whole is punctuated by baffling song choices that seem to serve no particular purpose in the tracklist–a frustrating fact since there is so much wonderful material here.
