Norman Music Festival announced today that they will be adding a second day to the 2010 edition of the festival.

The free two-day festival will take place in downtown Norman on Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25, 2010. Saturday performances will take place at night inside downtown venues, while Sunday performances will take place all day on stages set up on Main Street and inside downtown venues.

“By adding an extra day, more talent can be showcased. And with last year’s number of attendees an extra day will help accommodate the festival’s ever-growing crowds.” - Quentin Bomgardner, NMF3 Chair

Norman Music Festival made a big splash with their inaugural edition in 2008, pulling in over 13,000 people to downtown Norman. In 2009, the festival more than doubled its impact, with 30,000 people in attendance and an estimated $2.5 million being spent locally.

Organizers are currently working on the 2010 NMF lineup and headliners will be announced early next year. Previous headliners include Of Montreal, Polyphonic Spree, Chainsaw Kittens and Starlight Mints.
