UCO cello instructor to play at Jazz Lab

— The ’s Faculty Artist Concert Series presents cellist in concert Tuesday at UCO Jazz Lab.
Remy-Schumacher is professor of cello and chamber music at UCO.
Among the pieces she will perform are: "Sacher Variations for Cello solo,” "Prayer for Cello Solo,” "Folk Suite for Violoncello,” "Song of the Birds” and "Serenade for Cello.”
Remy-Schumacher, who was born in , won first prize in "Jugend musiziert,” that country’s annual music competition featuring more than 20,000 competitors.
She has been a concert soloist for several years, performing in , , and the at such concert venues as in , in and in .
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door. UCO Students with school ID get in free.
