Oklahoma Band’s Song to Be Featured on Television Show Finale ER
Native Oklahoma City band, The Uglysuit, will have their song “Chicago” featured on theseries finale for the television show ER, which airs Thursday April 2, 2009. The song will play as the NBC hit remembers the last fifteen years of the show.
Members of The Uglysuit consist of Israel Hindman, lead vocals, guitar; Kyle Mayfield, vocals, guitar, bass, drums; Crosby Bray, vocals, drums, guitar; Jonathan Martin, vocals, piano, organ, guitar; Colin Bray, vocals, guitar; and Jimmy Nimmo, bass, guitar. The band just returned to Oklahoma from a Midwestern tour and received the news from their label, Touch and Go Records.
The Uglysuit, comprised of six Oklahomans under the age of 23, has toured all around the world, and recently played South by Southwest Music Festival in Austin where they were featured at the Oklahoma Showcase “Sax, Clogs, and Rock & Roll,” sponsored by the Oklahoma Film & Music Office. The Uglysuit has also been spotlighted in various publications, including Rolling Stone Magazine.
NBC says goodbye to ER with a fifteen year retrospective, followed by a 2-hour series finale. Over the years the show has included actors Noah Wyle, Laura Innes, Maura Tierney, Eriq La Salle, Julianna Margulies, and George Clooney just to name a few.
