Dfest update

We've got some updates for you....

First off, the our host hotel, The Crowne Plaza is selling briskly. In fact, so much that the hotel is sold out for Friday July 24. There are still a few less than 40 rooms left for peeps who are just coming out to the festival Saturday, so if you're planning on buying a 1-day ticket to come see acts like Cake, Blue October, Mates of State, Ra Ra Riot, The Cool Kids, The Knux, Metro Station, Bassnectar or any of the other great bands playing on Saturday, then you'd better get your hotel fast before Saturday night sells out as well. Book your Saturday night hotel HERE. Good news though, our friends over at Doubletree are offering a special Dfest rate as well, so you'll still be able to get rooms over there for a short time before it sells out as well. We'll have the link up shortly this week to book rooms online at Doubletree.

We're working diligently on getting the full schedule lined out for the festival, the music conference, and the yoga conference. You'll be able to search the schedule by date, by venue, by genre, by class, by lecture and then click the things you want to see and download your own schedule tailor made for you! We're also getting artist profiles up along with panelist profiles and yoga teacher and lecturer profiles up as well so you can get to know everyone taking part in Dfest 2009! You'll be able to listen to the bands you're not quite familiar with and also listen to your favorites. You'll have a month to really check everything out so you know who and what you'll be doing at Dfest so you don't miss a thing!

And watch out at your Oklahoma U.S. Cellular locations starting Monday June 22nd where you can go pick up your Dfest Digital Download Card to download more than 15 Dfest artists' tunes for free on the Dfest website!

Oh, and by the way, for those of you watching your summer budgets, we just have a bit of advice. Buy your tickets early, the price of tickets go up quite a bit at walk-up. It's still way less than if you simply went to a show to see one headlilner at a major theater like the BOK Center in Tulsa or the Ford Center in Tulsa, but why pay more at the gates when you can see two great nights of music of over 160 artists for around $50 bucks just by thinking ahead? And also, if you're a Cox Cable subscriber, you should check out your latest bill because there was a $5 off coupon in there this month that's good until the end of the month. And those U.S. Cellular download cards, they also have a $5 off coupon.* Plus you'll be able to get $5 off of tickets you buy at all Kum & Go stores starting next week. That's three ways to not only save by buying early, but also getting $5 off your purchase! But the coupons are only good for advanced purchases, not day of - so go get your Dfest tickets TODAY!

And for those of you who think, eh, I can probably just sneak in the gates, there's so many people, they won't notice - think again. We have security set up with bag checks and wands, there won't be wide open gates where you can just stick up your wrist and casually walk through. It's set up just like a major festival with tight security, and you will be required to have a festival wristband securely fastend on your wrist in order to enter. Capiche? So, we're advising you, we want you to take advantage of the fact that we have discounted advance priced tickets and that we have great sponsors who have opportunities for you to save even more off the advanced ticket pricing.

So, checklist....

hotel, check

come back to Dfest website before the end of the month to start checking out the full schedule of events and artist and panelist profiles and listen to Dfest radio, check

tickets, badges, check

now the wait ensues for the biggest party this summer in Oklahoma! c u there!

*only 1 coupon per customer per purchase.
