This Week in Film & Music invites you to celebrate the Father's Day weekend by celebrating a multitude of different cultures. For its seventh installment, Country Fever Music Festival gets back to its Oklahoma roots with four days full of red dirt music. Carlos Saura traces the origins of a centuries-old musical genre with the film Fados. Plus traditions from across the pond will be the focus of the Oklahoma Celtic Music and Heritage Festival. After kicking off on June 12, the 25th Annual OKMOZART Festival finishes its last days with even more classical music favorites. Featuring chamber concerts, Chick Corea and Gary Burton Duets, and a Woolaroc Outdoor Concert with Amici New York and Time for Three, the festival concludes Saturday evening with a Grand Finale Concert with Amici New York and Oklahoma's own Kristin Chenoweth, star of Broadway and Hollywood. Kiamichi Owa Chito Festival of the Forest

Country Fever Music Festival
The organizers of the Country Fever Music Festival have decided to bring the event back to its Oklahoma roots by featuring an entire lineup of red dirt music. With over 40 bands, 37 of whom make their Country Fever debut, across two stages for four days, this year's pivotal celebration will include performances by Robert Earl Keen, Stoney Larue, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jerry Jeff Walker, Reckless Kelly, No Justice, The Eli Young Band, Susan Herndon, Mama Sweet, Hosty Duo, and many more. Sugar Free Allstars
The Oklahoma Arts Council's Neighborhood Arts program presents Sugar Free Allstars during another tour through the Metropolitan Library System. Consisting of Chris Wiser on Hammond B-3, lead vocals and saxophone, and Rob Martin on drums and back-up vocals, this will be the third consecutive year that the duo will visit libraries throughout the Oklahoma City and surrounding area with their fun and funky interactive music. Lucinda Williams
Three-time Grammy winner Lucinda Williams began her career in 1979 exploring emotional depths with rich literary detail and flares of country, folk, and blues. With her ninth studio album, 2008's Little Honey, the prolific singer-songwriter takes a more optimistic approach to the subject of life and love while still sticking to her trademark diversity, aggressive guitar, and clever lyrics. Fados
Preceded by Flamenco and Tango, Fados completes award-winning filmmaker Carlos Saura's musical trilogy. Using Lisbon as a backdrop, he explores Portugal's most emblematic musical genre, fado, and the melancholy spirit behind it as he captures the varying moods and dimensions of the songs he brings to life. With homages to such legends as Maria Severa and Amália Rodrigues, as well as stunning turns by modern stars like Mariza and Camané, Fados encompasses a grand vision of music's power to break down boundaries.

Jonny Lang
During his more than ten years of touring, singer-songwriter Jonny Lang has appeared with the Rolling Stones, B.B. King, Blues Traveler, and Sting. For his 2006 Grammy-winning album, Turn Around, the blues guitarist introduces the spiritual side of his music with gospel influences, while still exploring the varied flavors of rustic country, Motown funk, and jazzy folk. Indie rock singer-songwriter Michael Logen will open.

Lee Ann Womack
Now known for her old-fashioned country style, Lee Ann Womack gained national acclaim and a Grammy award for the inspirational single "I Hope You Dance" in 2000. Her seventh and latest album, Call Me Crazy, reinforces her honky-tonk tendencies and includes four songs co-written by Womack, a duet with legendary country music artist George Straight and a particularly uplifting song in which her 17-year-old daughter and ex-husband perform background vocals.

The Limits of Control
From acclaimed director Jim Jarmusch (Broken Flowers, Down by Law) comes The Limits of Control. Featuring performances from Isaach De Bankolé John Hurt, Youki Kudoh, Bill Murray, Gael García Bernal and Tilda Swinton, the film tells the story of a mysterious loner whose activities remain meticulously outside the law as he is in the process of completing a job. Though his journey takes him across the striking and varied landscapes of Spain, the nameless man also finds himself wandering through his own consciousness.

Oklahoma Celtic Music and Heritage Festival
Music from the Celtic Nations of Ireland, Wales, Cornwall, Galacia, Brittany, Scotland, and the Isle of Man will be celebrated during the Oklahoma Celtic Music and Heritage Festival. Over Stars and Gutters CD Release
Mixing a concoction of alternative, emo, and punk, Norman-based Over Stars and Gutters will celebrate the release of their debut album, Consider This Your Curse, with special guests The Pretty Black Chains, Ali Harter, and Legs Dead and Well. The band will be touring throughout Oklahoma for the next two months to promote the new album, which features tracks such as "Anthem on Sheridan," "Never Again," and "Irish R&B Singer."

Norman Summer Breeze Concert Series: Hosty Duo
This Father's Day, Norman's Summer Breeze Concert Series features the rockabilly sounds of Hosty Duo. Backed by drummer Michael Byars, Mike Hosty is known for playing more than one instrument at one time and for having written the popular "Oklahoma Breakdown," performed by Stoney LaRue. Michael Fracasso
The Arts Council of Oklahoma City welcomes Michael Fracasso as part of the 2009 Sunday Twilight Concert Series. Honing his acoustic-folk skills throughout New York City and Austin, the Americana artist recently released his seventh album, Red Dog Blues. Fracasso's trademark high tenor voice has earned him comparisons to legendary singers, with Variety describing his music as a "rustic sound with a city sensibility."
