37th Annual Kiamichi Owa-Chito Festival Of The Forest - June 18-20

The festival kicks off with an incredible art show containing over 300 works of art entered by over 100 artists within the four states area of Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas and Louisiana. Freda de Odis Flatt of Ada, Oklahoma has been selected to receive the prestigious honor of being Owa-Chito's featured artist. The Broken Bow Theatrical Society will perform "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz." There will be local and regional musical entertainers. Native American dance group performing their ceremonial Choctaw dances. Children's games and activities. Arts. Crafts. Street performers. Food to satisfy any taste. There will also be a 5k run, canoe races, archery contest, talent show, forestry competition which includes such forestry skills as bow sawing, ax throwing, double buck crosscut, log rolling and jack-n-jill crosscut...just to name a few.
