Hello to all -
We have some very exciting performances coming up this weekend... I'm excited to have my good buddy - Justin Thompson -come to town... all the way from NYC! Justin is one of the best guitarists, singer/songwriters, and entertainers that I have ever heard! Below are just a few of his many accomplishments of his musical career.
JUSTIN'S BIO-
Justin's career began as a jazz guitarist in Music City performing with Katharine Wayland (The Squirrel Nut Zippers), Mark O'Connor, The Nashville Chamber Orchestra, John Hartford, Riders in the Sky, David Grier, Buddy Spicher, Mandy Barnett, Greg Garing, Kathy Chiavola, Annie Sellick, and the Gypsy Hombres. As an Hombre, he was voted "Best Jazz Musician of Nashville" and had two best selling CDs -- Cafe Strut and Django Bells. The latter received critical acclaim from around the country including 4stars from Down Beat magazine and the season's top pick by The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, and NPR's "All Songs Considered."
Now located in New York City, Justin is touring venues ranging from festivals, and jazz clubs scattered throughout the United States. Justin has 23 years of teaching experience, Berklee College of Music graduate, an author of six transcription books for Mel Bay Publications, W.O. Smith teacher of the Year -- Nashville's non-profit music school just to name a few.
